In June 2015, Practice PPE Exams became the only exam provider to offer an SK PPE Exam Guide. We have since replaced the guide with a step-by-step SK PPE Total Prep Online Course.
Here is detailed information about the exam.
PPE SK Exam Format
The SK PPE is a real mix of different types of questions; more so than any other Professional Practice Exam (PPE) in Canada. The exam is broken up into four parts:
- Part A: True and False Questions
- Part B: Short Answer & Multiple Choice
- Part C: Essay
- Part D: Long Essay
o Part A = 36 minutes
o Part B1 = 43 minutes
o Part B2 = 32 minutes
o Part C = 43 minutes
o Part D = 25 minutes
o TOTAL = 180 minutes (or 3 hours)
Sample SK PPE Questions
Q. Sundar has come up with a trademark to identify his drilling operation. The trademark is “drillin’ down deep”. Sundar’s most affordable option to establish ownership of the mark is to submit an application on his own to the Office of the Registrar of Trade-marks.

This is a very brief look at the APEGS PPE that is written only twice a year. Passing it on your first try is critical to avoid stalling your P.Eng. or P.Geo licence application process.

The SK PPE combines the most different question types than any other PPE in Canada. Most have multiple-choice; or short & long answer. This exam combines 4 different question types.

For NPPE, are there going to be 120 questions? If not, then how many questions will there be?

For APEGS writers, there will be 110 multiple choice questions followed by a 1-hour essay.

The essay component has now been removed for APEGS applicants. They will just write the basic NPPE.

I believe APEGS last used the additional essay section to the NPPE during the April 2022 sitting. Since then, they have confirmed that it has been permanently removed from the exam. APEGS writers join most other associations that just write the 110-question multiple choice exam.

But, i am little bit confused, as i started reading the text book and it is too lengthy and I am not too confident. I like to know your best recommendations about preparing this course and what is rhe pass percentage ratio?

Our NPPE Total Prep Course will make learning the material more fun. We use presentations, flashcards, mindmaps, Q&A videos and 500 practice questions. The textbooks will complement the course, but you don’t have to read them cover-to-cover.
