Did you receive your NPPE exam results but don't know your score?
We developed the calculator (below) to let you quickly approximate your overall score.
We compared our calculator with a client from PEGNL, which is the only participating association that shows its clients their overall score. Our NPPE exam results calculator came within 1% of the association's score - so we're confident that it will give you accurate feedback (within a percentage or two).
Who should use this NPPE exam results calculator?
Those writing the 110 multiple choice question format: PEO, EGBC, APEGA, APEGS, ASET, EGM, Engineers Geoscientists New Brunswick, Engineers Nova Scotia, Engineers PEI, Engineers Yukon, Geoscientists Nova Scotia, PEGNL, PGO, and NAPEG.
We needed to develop this calculator since many people ask, "Why doesn't my association show me my score?" Or "I think I passed, but I don't know."
The problem is that you can't just average the 6 categories because they all have unique weighting. Topics like II, III and IV, are larger topics with more questions – thus, they are weighted heavier.
Use the sliders below to receive your score out of 100. A passing mark would be 65 or greater.
For those that would like additional help, you are invited to use our NPPE Course.
Enjoy!
Q. Do I need to pass each syllabus topic to pass the exam?
A. This is a common misconception. You only need to get 65% overall using the calculator above. However, topics II, III and IV account for about 70% of the exam marks. As a result, applicants that fail often struggle in one or more of those important topics.
Hello
I am writing to inquire about the rules and limitations regarding the NPPE exam for Engineers and Geoscientists BC. Specifically:
1. How many attempts are allowed if a candidate fails the NPPE exam?
2. If there is a limitation on the number of attempts, what steps should a candidate take to continue the process of obtaining their P.Eng designation?
I look forward to your response.
Best regards,
