Top job seekers often do not rely on mass online applications or visible job-seeking activity because the white-collar hiring market is saturated and competitive. Instead, they focus on building personal connections, leveraging referrals, and engaging hiring managers before roles are widely advertised. Many successful candidates rely on targeted networking and tailored outreach rather than passive applications to access better career opportunities. Read more here.

Thank you for reading our January Newsletter. Here are our questions for this month:
Q1. How does your company support EITs in getting licensed (mentorship, time for NPPE, experience reviews, etc.)?
Q2. Is there anything you think the company could improve in its support for EITs toward licensure?
Kudos to all Engineers!
Q1. How does your company support EITs in getting licensed (mentorship, time for NPPE, experience reviews, etc.)?
We have team managers of smaller groups that help work on personal development plans which may include licensed. I informally mentor more jr staff as well. Many have done the NPPE exam and can/do provide advice for those working towards it.
Q2. Many companies hire EITs but treat licensure as a personal side project. Formalize Supervised Experience, Do Not Leave It to Chance.
My company has a team to help the EITs for mentorship, time for NPPE, experience reviews, etc. and they always help to hire them once they have their licenses
