Were You Educated Outside of Canada?

We're here to help you get your engineering licence quickly and safely.  We can help you with any or all of the common steps you'll face.  They include:

  • Technical exams are needed if you have any academic gaps between your education and a Canadian equivalent.  This is commonly the first major licensing step following your initial application.
  • National Professional Practice Exam (NPPE) - a 2.5-hour multiple choice exam that covers law, ethics and professional practice topics.  This is normally the second step in the licensing process.
  • Competency-Based Assessment (CBA) - a submission of a few dozen of your best work experience examples articulated in a clear and technical manner.  This is the final licensing step for most international applicants.

You can read our PEng licence blog post for more on the licencing process.

Common questions that international applicants might be wondering:

  • What are my next steps?
  • How do I reduce my chances of writing a technical exam(s)?
  • What is the best licence for me?

We would like to hear from you. Use the form below to tell us what you are struggling with so we can point you in the right direction and support you.

We look forward to hearing from you and helping you with the process.
