Thanks for reading. What did you give or receive this holiday season that you think other engineers might like? For me, it was the card game Fluxx and my daughter received a remote-controlled moonlight called Moon In My Room.
I received a book “The 5 AM Club: Own Your Morning. Elevate Your Life.” by engineering friend of mine. I have started reading it and so far it has been great. I think this book has a strong tendency to transform all of the young engineering graduate students life in regards to time punctuality and really get the most of their life. This book really emphasizes the power of being on top of the things to get stuff done and drive change in the personal and professional life. As engineers, many of us are caught up in chasing tech jobs and being sucked into the professional life, aka getting stressed out at all the time. This book provided effective techniques to separate personal and professional life as well as mastering personal life goals.
We got the game Turing Tumble which is an amazing and screen-free set to build many different versions of a “marble computer”.
Haven’t had a chance yet, but I look forward to sitting down with my daughter and working through the included comic/puzzle book. Look into it, it is a lot of fun.
Myself and my wife gave a Lego set to our 5yr old godson. He played with it non-stop over the holidays. It’s awesome to see his imagination in full flight.
His dad was very thankful for the gift right up until he stepped on a stray piece.
