Thank you for reading. This month’s question is, what is your most unique use of PVC?
Potato gun cannon!
I’ve used the same piece of PVC for 15+ years as a tool to drive headset bearing races down onto bicycle forks. Works like a charm. Soft enough not to damage the race but strong/stiff enough to transfer the force
Needed to raise a folding leg card table to match the elevation of the dining table for a big family dinner. Used wood pieces as leg extenders but PVC cutoffs as a coupling/sleeve to keep the extender under the table leg. No damage to the card table and wasn’t too wobbly.
I have short pieces of PVC being used as storage pockets for Pens, Pencils, or other small objects
Great use of PVC! Thanks for the comment, Jacques.
PVC is super versatile! Something I find particularly interesting is that due to a high amount of chlorine in it, it is fire resistant – found that pretty cool.
