  1. I was out on a drilling rig, nibbling up a connection between a BOP and casing head housing when the lockpin on my hydraulic torque wrench broke. I managed to accomplish the task by using a duct tape to hold the two separated pieces firmly together.

  2. The air conditioner in our office broke and awaiting repairs. Building services brought in a portable AC unit, but with missing exhaust pipe. We used a dryer duct to vent the hot air out of the room, but since the duct did not fit properly onto the portable unit, we duct taped it. I guess we actually used duct tape for a duct!

  3. I used duct tape to secure and hold balloons together while creating a balloon arc as a background for my cousin’s birthday!
